Memories

I was just sitting down to watch one of the best shows on TV (Greys Anatomy), and some memories popped into my head. Emma's heart surgery and the day of. We had a good experience, tough but good. The end result was good, our daughter came home in 5 days. It's really a blur to tell you the truth. I had some people that I hold very dear to my heart show up and just sit with us. Something I'll never forget as long as I live. Every person in our family took off work and was there, nothing like family. Much Respect.
Handing my child to the nurse to take her back and prep for surgery was tough. This photo was taken right before that happened.
Here's a photo of the waiting room which shows the corner we had, and the exact moment we heard the news of a successful surgery.
First photo taken once in the PICU. The Dr. prepped us for this moment, but words can't express it. It literally took my breath away.
Big sis seeing her for the first time post surgery.

There was so much fear and pain in this day but now all that has turned into joy unspeakable. When you watch the sassy little girl play or on Christmas Morning opening her gifts with her daddy'y and big sister's help. She was unbounded joy and loved her Santa gift. Thank you Jesus for such a powerful moment and all the others past and to come. We are humbled by such a priceless gift of life and love. Emma's Nana

I just finished watching the Gray's Anatomy you saw and through my tears can just say Thank you God. "How Great Thou Art."
As you said Marsha--Such a priceless gift of life and love. She is very close to walking now and has the very best laugh and giggle.
